I'm having a bad day.

So, I was going to wait until tonight to post an entry but I can't anymore. I've just about had it with these docs, or should I say the ladies that work for the docs! I have been trying to set up meetings for the last 3 weeks, so of course I have been in contact with the same ladies about when the docs are open for these meetings. Well, I was finally able to confirm this meeting (trust me, it takes a long time to confirm a meeting when it includes 5 doctors) so I called Jana, the lady that works for one of the docs at CMA (Carbondale Clinic to some). Well, Jana must have been having a bad day because instead of just taking the message and passing it on to the doctor she decided to lecture me for about 3 minutes on how she doesn't have time to deal with me.
SERIOUSLY!!! I wanted to SCREAM at her!! "DAMN YOU LADY, DO YOU KNOW WHO I WORK FOR!!!??!!!" But, I didn't. I kept my calm about me and didn't say a word. But, I did talk crap about her after I got off the phone just to make myself feel better. The thing that gets me the most is that if she is treating me this way, how in the world is she treating patients from one day to the next? I mean, hell, she has to stick patients with needles all day! Screw that! I know who I'm NOT going to next time I get sick.

Anyway, I wanted to get out my frustration. Just for your enjoyment this is a picture of how I am feeling right now.

  1. So much for the "I LOVE my job" stuff you wrote! I've been answering the phone at the Hokie Club. If anyone wanted to get extra points before the Dec 31, 2008 deadline, they had to put it on a credit card by midnight 12/31 or postmark the mailing of a check by 12/31. It's incredible how STUPID people are. Do they not know the meaning of December 31, 2008??? Plus, I've had people who wanted to pay dues using 3 (count 'em, 3) credit cards to pay $1,000 or have had to borrow. Such idiots to think that Hokie football tickets (the major benefit of being a Hokie Club member) are the MOST IMPORTANT thing in the world. How about feeding their children? Having a bad day is no reason to berate the messenger! I hope that you don't have to set up another meeting anytime soon!!! Love & Kisses, GAG

  4. Did you tell Phil? I know who you work for and it evidently wouldn't hurt Jana to be reminded who you work for. It is PHIL'S work that you are doing, basically, so maybe she should be reminded of that. If she doesn't have time for you, then she is essentially saying that she doesn't have time to deal with Phil's requests. Seriously, you should report her to her supervisor. That kind of treatment is uncalled for.

  5. Patty & Mom are right, you know. I hate confrontation as much as the next person, but NO ONE has the right to give your grief for doing your job. Is today going any better?

  6. Update: I just got done talking with Darrell and told him of what heppened. He says that I definitely need to tell Phil (my boss) about how this lady treat me. Having good customer service is what SIH and SIMS has been so focused on lately. I will tell Phil but I'm not sure when...he leaves on Monday for Hawaii and is in meetings all day today!

  7. I would suggest you tell Phil ASAP - today - what happened, even if you have to stay a little late to do it. It's Friday; the fact you stayed late to tell him will send an even stronger message how you feel about it.
